Add evidence to a day

  1. Open the Days tab and tap the day.
  2. Under Evidence, add a photo from that day, or a document: a boarding pass or ticket, a receipt, a booking or anything else.

What RezTally keeps

RezTally doesn’t copy the file. It keeps a fingerprint of it (a SHA-256, 64 characters) in your sealed day log, with the kind of evidence and, for a document, its file name. The photo or document stays wherever you keep it.

The fingerprint lets anyone match the file to the day later: the same file always gives the same fingerprint, and any change to the file gives a different one. It can’t be turned back into the file.

If you delete the photo or file

Nothing changes in RezTally: the fingerprint stays in your log. But you can no longer show the file that matches it, so keep the originals of anything you may need to prove.

Evidence levels

Each day is rated from what backs it up: the location fixes your phone logged that day, daily stamps, and the evidence you add. The Evidence tab lists the days that matter most, such as border days and days that count towards a limit you’re close to, and suggests what to add.
