Your data and your iPhone

Where your day log lives

On your iPhone, in RezTally’s private storage, and in your iPhone’s own backup (iCloud or your computer). We have no account system and no server that holds your record, so we can’t see it, recover it or delete it for you.

What leaves your iPhone

• Once a day, a 64-character fingerprint of your log goes to a public time-stamp service, which signs it with the time. It says nothing about where you were.
• When you take a daily stamp, your iPhone asks Apple to confirm the app is genuine (App Attest).
• Purchases go through Apple.

Nothing else: no locations, no photos, no documents.

Keep a backup

Because your day log exists only on your iPhone and in its backups, keep iPhone backups turned on, and export your log from time to time and keep the files somewhere safe.

Deleting your data

Deleting RezTally deletes the day log from your iPhone. It remains in any backup you made before, and in any file you exported. The privacy policy has the details.
